AnantLaw advised Government of India on Press Note 3 (2026 Series) enabling foreign investment in inventory based model

AnantLaw advised the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India on Press Note 3 (2026 Series), a significant liberalisation of India's FDI regime, enabling foreign investment in the inventory-based model of cross-border e-commerce for exports.
AnantLaw also advised the Government of India on related amendments to the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, helping shape the facilitation framework for cross-border e-commerce exports.
Together, these reforms open the door for e-commerce exports of Indian-origin goods, an important step toward integrating Indian manufacturers and MSMEs into global digital trade and advancing India's ambitions in cross-border e-commerce.
Proud to have supported this policy initiative at the intersection of FDI, trade policy, and digital commerce.
AnantLaw team was led by partners Anu Monga and Rahul Goel and supported by Aditi Sharma, Harsh Gupta, Palak Nigam and Aparna Jha.
